Charissa Chai
Ms. Chai was born in Hong Kong and moved to Brooklyn, NY at five years old. She attended grades 1-12 in Brooklyn public schools, went on to receive her BA in Communication Disorders from SUNY Paltz, and her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John's University. Her experiences as an ELL helped fuel her passion for her field and she decided to work for the DOE to give back to the community and provide support to students with language difficulties. Outside of school, she enjoys binging television series, playing games, traveling, hanging out with her two cats Nori and Mika, and spending time with friends and family.
